Walk in Supernatural Protection That Is Bible-Based

Part 6 of 6 of Receive Your Breakthrough with God’s Hazon Visions.

Looking at what’s happening around us, I’m very concerned about my loved ones’ safety, whether it’s from deadly diseases or from accidents, violence in our community, or natural disasters. I desperately need faith-filled hazon visions on protection from the Word. Where can I find them?

Psalm 91 is the go-to psalm for the Lord’s hazon visions on protection! (If it’s been a while since you’ve read or meditated on this beautiful psalm, please take some time to read Psalm 91 right now.)

I love how it shows us that God has already seen these days of perilous pestilences, of the enemy’s arrows flying at us, and of plagues that come in different forms. More than that, it shows verse after verse that He has already made provision for our supernatural protection.

Psalm 91 also shows us that when we rest in the Lord’s protection and take Him as our refuge and fortress, we will see Him put us at the right place at the right time and deliver us from the lion and the serpent and from the snares of the fowler (the enemy’s traps).

If you’re feeling vulnerable or fearful right now, I want you to see how this psalm actually covers every worrisome thing. It paints beautiful pictures of how the Lord has us covered from above, with His wings outstretched, just like a mother hen protecting her chicks (Ps. 91:4). What a tender yet powerful picture to meditate on to guard your heart from feeling anxious or stressed about any scary situation right now.

You are also protected from beneath (Ps. 91:13), as well as on your left and on your right (Ps. 91:7).

My friend, when the news media paints scary pictures of how close you are to a source of danger, I encourage you to see how the Lord Himself is your mighty shield (Gen. 15:1), keeping what may seem so close far away from you.

Next, this psalm shows you the Lord’s protection is available for your family—“no plague shall come near your dwelling” (Ps. 91:10). “Dwelling” speaks of your family, and you and your loved ones have His covering every moment of the day, regardless of whether the threat is seen or invisible (Ps. 91:5–6).

Then notice that the last verse of the psalm says even your years are covered—“With long life I will satisfy him and show Him My salvation” (Ps. 91:16). “Salvation” in the original Hebrew is Yeshua, the name of our Lord Jesus. So see the Lord making it His business to protect you and your loved ones all the time, from all angles, because He wants you to enjoy His salvation, His grace that saves!

Now, this is what I do: I bring my family before God in prayer and say, “Father, thank You that in Christ, my family and I are seated in the secret place of the Most High (Ps. 91:1, 4). We are seated with Christ, far above every principality and power (Eph. 1:20–22, 2:6). We are safe under the shadow of the Almighty. We are safe under Your wings.”

Then I pause and just rest, taking time to see myself and my family seated with Christ, far above everything that has the power to harm us. I picture us under His mighty and comforting wings, so very close to Him.

My friend, the more you practice your relationship with the Lord and begin to see Him actively keeping you and your loved ones from all evil, the more restful you’ll be and the more you’ll see His protection manifest tangibly.

Beloved, the Bible has so many beautiful and powerful pictures of the Lord’s wonderful promises for us. These pictures, or visions, are just waiting for us to take a hold of them so that they can take root in our hearts and minds and go on to become reality in our lives, whether in the area of our health, our careers or finances, our marriages and our families, or protection for ourselves and our families.

It’s my prayer that you will continue to seek the Lord for His visions for your specific areas of need and keep meditating on them constantly. Before long, you’ll see Him take you to every breakthrough you need!
