Have Good Days with Hazon Vision

Part 1 of 3 of Have Good Days with Hazon Vision.

In these days of seemingly never-ending pestilences and economic uncertainty, I’m so glad we can turn to the Word of God for hope and a vision of good and beautiful days ahead for us and our families.

Even if you’ve been attacked by the enemy in your health, family life, or finances, you don’t have to be afraid that things are only going to get worse. You don’t have to believe that you can’t hope for good days. And you don’t have to live oppressed by images of failure, defeat, lack, and sickness robbing you of peace and joy.

I want you to see for yourself how the Lord emphatically tells us that no matter what the world is going through, He has good days planned for His people. Just take a look at these scriptures:

He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil.
—1 Peter 3:10

If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
—Job 36:11

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
—Psalm 23:6

Do you see the Lord’s heart for you? His desire is for you and your loved ones to walk in good days all the days of your life. Days of spirit-soul-and-body prosperity. Days marked by His goodness and mercy. But how do we begin to walk in these promises? How do we go from being surrounded by our challenges to stepping into days of good success in every area? It begins with His hazon vision.
1. Your Good Days Begin with Hazon Vision

What is hazon vision, Pastor Prince?

Hazon is Hebrew for prophetic visions from the Lord. And I believe He wants to flood the eyes of your heart with His positive visions for your future—and begin the process of making them a reality in your life.

You see, before God does anything, He first gives His people His word or a vision. Jesus Himself said as He went about healing and ministering to the sick, the hungry, and the lost during His earthly ministry:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does.”
—John 5:19-20

Isn’t that beautiful? Jesus worked as He saw His Father work (John 5:17). As the Father moved, He moved, and people were healed and blessed. But how did our Lord know what the Father was doing? Jesus explained it like this: the Father showed Him on the inside whom He was touching and what He was doing, and our Lord simply acted in accordance with what He saw the Father doing.

I believe the Lord wants you to step into this same precious anointing to see what He is doing in your family life, your career, your ministry, your finances, and your health. Whatever area has been attacked by the enemy, whatever area you want to see good come to, the Lord wants to give you His glorious vision for those very areas. He wants to show you how He is turning those areas around for your good so you can run with Him and experience your breakthrough!

2. Vision Is the Missing Element

You might be wondering why we need a vision from the Lord to experience good days ahead. Don’t we already have the Word to stand on? Well, Scripture itself shows us how a bondage-breaking word and a vision from Him are very much the same thing. In the boyhood days of the prophet Samuel, the Bible tells us, “And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision [hazon]” (1 Sam. 3:1 ESV). Notice how without frequent visions from the Lord, the people were also not getting His word.

The Bible also explains why this was not a good thing: Because “where there is no prophetic vision [hazon] the people cast off restraint” (Prov. 29:18 ESV). This is why the Lord wants to fill our hearts with His hazon visions—because without them, our lives will spiral into defeat and depression. Without hazon visions, we see no direction or purpose and have no hope or positive expectations for our future. Without hazon visions, we perish.

Sometime ago, I heard the Lord say to me:

“A lot of people think they are not prospering in life because they lack certain things. They think they’re not succeeding in their careers, ministries, relationships, or parenting because they lack the finances, or the right people to help them, or the opportunities, or the right connections. But what they really lack is vision. The missing element is vision.”

Friend, have you lost your vision for the year, your family, your health, your career, or your ministry? Perhaps you’ve made mistakes in your business ventures, marriage, or parenting journey, and this has hurt you deeply. Now, when you think about these areas, only images of failure come to mind. Maybe a doctor’s bad report has eroded any vision you have of yourself healed, whole, and happy.

Don’t give up. I’m here to tell you that the Lord wants to restore your lost visions. He wants to replace the dark images you’ve been seeing inwardly with His pictures of light and life. Once you receive His positive visions, negative, depressive thoughts won’t be able to take root in your mind. Instead, a confident expectation of good will come. Faith will spring up and propel you to your breakthrough.

Vision is the missing element.

And our adversary, the devil, knows this. That is why he robs God’s people of visions that are positive, visions of beautiful days ahead. The devil robs your vision before he robs you. But our Lord is a restorer and the God of hope (Rom. 15:13). He wants to restore hazon visions to you so that you will once more be able to behold and experience beautiful days!
